Vicky, born and raised in Mumbai, is now the head chef and shareholder of KOL, a restaurant renowned for its feast of Indian flavours.
Born and raised in Mumbai, Vicky Shah’s love of cooking was first inspired by his mother, an excellent cook in her own right.
Food has always been the cornerstone of Vicky’s family, which inspired him to turn his love for food into a career with The Culinary Collective in Auckland, New Zealand.
After graduating, he landed a full-time job with Sidart, first as a pastry chef, before expanding his skillset in every section of the kitchen.
Fast forward to 2022, Vicky has levelled up to head chef and shareholder of KOL, a restaurant renowned for its feast of Indian flavours in the ‘foody’ district of Ponsonby.
