Ellie Corfe, graduate from The Culinary Collective, has been featured in The UP 100 – a compelling showcase published by UP Education celebrating exceptional students that embody the transformative role of education.
The UP 100 tells the moving stories of 100 tertiary students and graduates across Australasia and beyond.
Ellie does not wait for success – she creates it. In fact, she has done so since the beginning of her culinary journey in 2012.
Having graduated from university with a Bachelor of Arts, a short stint in the workforce would confirm her true passion for cookery and culinary arts.
After completing an apprenticeship with the Hilton, Ellie discovered her natural talent for making pastries. To refine her pastry skills, she sought after a Level 4 Certificate in Baking and Level 5 Diploma in Cookery at The Culinary Collective. Now, she has ten years of professional experience under her belt working for some of the most luxurious restaurants in Auckland – from Cable Bay Vineyards on Waiheke Island to Esther based in the five-star hotel QT Auckland.
Ellie is more than your standard pastry chef, she is an innovator of pastry desserts. Her signature desserts range from chocolate work, mousses and cakes that have been selected for Auckland’s Top 100 Iconic Eats.
